Lost Letters/(pro) Found Regrets

“Lost Letters/ (pro) Found Regrets”
an art installation by Jim Draper and Morrison Pierce
Opening Reception: Friday, February 19, 2010, 7:00-9:00pm

nullspace gallery is very pleased to present its February show, “Lost Letters/(pro) Found Regrets”, an art installation by Jim Draper and Morrison Pierce. Both born and raised in Mississippi, these artists of different generations and aesthetic approaches are teaming up to create a work that examines memory, myth, relics, and icons and their present role in a deep south world view. In a departure from their normal painterly styles, Pierce and Draper will combine and manipulate found objects and images, mixing the monumental with the mundane to create a participatory and evocative viewer experience.

This will be the first of many exhibits that nullspace will organize that will display experimental works by local and regional artists that are outside of or expand their usual art practices.
